Founded in 2023, we’re a dynamic, tech‑savvy Nordic‑based group of around 30 colleagues and growing fast, with offices across the Nordics, a growing presence in Spain, and ambitious plans to scale globally.

The Role
As CFO, you will take ownership of the finance function for a high-growth, multi-jurisdictional group. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring solid financial operations today while helping enable seamless international expansion tomorrow. This is a highly hands-on role—with direct impact and visibility.
Initially focused on finance and accounting, the scope is expected to evolve over time and may include:
- Finance & Accounting: Full responsibility for financial operations across group entities, including reporting, forecasting, tax, audit, cash flow and compliance
- International Expansion: Shape and implement financial infrastructure and processes for new markets (starting with Spain and others to follow)
- Corporate Functions: As the company scales, you will play a key role in shaping and overseeing selected group-level functions beyond finance—supporting organisational development, internal processes, and scalable structures for a growing international business
- Strategy & Growth: Partner with management to drive strategic planning, business model evolution, and support capital-raising or M&A activities
Who You Are
- A strategic thinker who’s not afraid to dive into the details when needed
- Solid background in accounting, reporting and compliance, ideally across multiple countries
- Experienced in setting up finance functions and ways of working in fast-growing companies
- Comfortable in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting where processes are still forming—and willing to help build them
- Experienced as a CFO or senior finance leader for 3–5 years, preferably in a scale-up, energy, infrastructure or services context
- Agile, curious, and proactive: you thrive on solving problems and making things happen
- Fluent in English (Scandinavian languages are a plus, but not required)

Capture Energy is a Nordic-based company with offices in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Fredrikstad, Luleå, and Odense. Our team consists of experienced professionals from renewable energy and flexibility services backgrounds.
Our distributed Nordic team meet in person at least once every quarter at different locations. Some of us enjoy group morning runs before the meetings. We value mutual support and seek individuals who are humble, positive, and can turn challenges into opportunities.
While we are a distributed team with a big part of our work being done through digital platforms, we value on-site collaboration and we expect you to be in our offices during the majority of your working time.
