Capture Energy, founded in 2023 and with 20 employees currently, aims to be a market leader in the Nordics in providing battery energy storage systems for energy flexibility services in the coming years, a market that is expected to have very high growth.
As a small company today, we are able to operate very differently compared to the larger players on the market, which gives us a great competitive position. About The Role
We are currently seeking to hire a Product Manager - Energy Aggregation & Management Solutions to join our dynamic team. It is an ideal opportunity for a driven and amitious indivudal that want to shape the services available in the European energy landscape.
As a Product Manager, you will be a key person within our Research & Development organization. You will have the responsibility for our portfolio of aggregators and energy management system providers, have responsibility to define and develop services together with these suppliers, own and maintain the requirement specifications of aggregator specific part of our products towards our suppliers and customers, follow and communicate legal and regulatory requirements and translate those into product requirements. You will also act as a technical specialist (both internally and externally), and perform business case analyses.
You will report to the CTO of the company, Henrik Lundgren. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering/Lithium-ion Batteries with extensive experience in battery development both in the automotive industry and the stationary energy storage industry. Henrik bikes to work during all seasons of the year and enjoys food and hiking in his free time.
Work assignments
- Oversee our portfolio of aggregators and energy management system (EMS) providers
- Oversee technical qualification of our assets
- Define and develop services with these suppliers
- Drive, define, refine, and redefine the product solutions and services
- Own and maintain the requirement specifications of aggregator-specific parts of our products for suppliers and customers
- Follow and communicate legal and regulatory requirements and translate those into product requirements
- Act as a technical specialist internally and externally
- Perform business case analyses
- Product and system descriptions
- Risk assessment
- Follow up outcome of product investments
- Project management

Skills and Qualifications
If you are to thrive and succeed in this role, you should like to work in a start-up environment that is highly dynamic with lots of opportunities to learn and challenge yourself. Being one of the first people to join the company, you will participate in defining the processes of how we work. As we are building up a team to drive our development, having good collaboration skills will be a success factor. Personal integrity and the ability to work independently and proactively will also be important to solving the tasks we face.
We are looking for you with a minimum experience of 5 years in engineering roles, other relevant experience can compensate for this.
- Strong knowledge of managing complex product portfolios
- Previous experience at an aggregator or energy management system supplier
- Previous experience in requirements management/systems engineering is a plus
- Previous experience in a customer facing/commercial role
- Previous experience in battery energy storage systems is plus
- Specific knowledge of the global energy market and regional differences
- You must have good written and oral communication skills in English. Proficiency in other Nordic languages is a plus.
- M.Sc. in Computer Science/Data engineering or equivalent
