Sr Product Manager – BESS & PCS
Turn vision into impact: lead Capture’s BESS & PCS roadmap, aligning tech, suppliers & markets to accelerate the global clean energy shift.
The Role
We’re looking for a Sr Product Manager to take ownership of Capture Energy’s global Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Power Conversion System (PCS) portfolio. This is a hands-on commercial-technical role. You’ll work directly with suppliers, sales teams, and compliance bodies to make sure the solutions we offer are market-ready, grid-compliant, and customer-relevant.
Your mission is to connect the dots between what customers need, what regulations demand, and what suppliers can deliver. You’ll scout and qualify suppliers, shape product roadmaps, and drive the New Product Introduction (NPI) process ensuring that our offerings don’t just look good on spec sheets, but actually win tenders and perform in the field.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supplier Scouting & Management – Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with global BESS/PCS suppliers. Ensure their products meet both our standards and European grid requirements.
- Product Roadmapping – Build and maintain Capture Energy’s BESS/PCS product roadmap, prioritizing features like grid-forming, black start, and advanced ancillary services that customers and regulators require.
- NPI Leadership – Lead the full NPI cycle: from supplier engagement and technical qualification to sales enablement and launch.
- Sales Support – Work side-by-side with commercial teams to tailor offerings for customer bids, providing the technical backbone that makes proposals credible and competitive.
- Compliance & Grid Codes – Stay on top of European regulatory requirements and grid codes; ensure that Capture Energy’s solutions are certified, compliant, and ahead of upcoming standards.
- Business Case Development – Build use cases and quantify the benefits of new products to show why they make commercial and technical sense.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10 years in BESS, PCS, renewables, or power systems, with proven experience in supplier management and product ownership.
- Strong knowledge of BESS/PCS technologies and the supplier landscape, ideally with exposure to grid-forming and ancillary services.
- Experience building and executing product roadmaps in the utility-scale segment (>10 MW).
- Background in electrical engineering or similar (Master’s a plus).
- Ability to translate complex technical detail into clear commercial value.
- Track record of working cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and compliance teams.
- Fluent in English (bonus if you speak other European languages).
- Open to travel across Europe for supplier visits, sales meetings, and regulatory discussions.
