Join us to to build a cloud-native platform supporting the renewable energy transition.
Seeking an experienced DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to shape the future of smart energy
The European energy system is undergoing a major shift toward renewables, with battery energy storage systems (BESS) at the core. Capture Energy — founded in 2023 and rapidly growing — aims to lead the Nordic BESS market and expand beyond. To support this ambition, we build and operate Capture Cloud: a cloud-native, mission-critical platform enabling energy flexibility services.
About the Role
As a DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a key enabler for both backend and frontend teams — designing, building, and operating the infrastructure behind our cloud platform. You will work closely with engineers, the Tech Lead, and the Product Manager in an agile environment with shared ownership and high impact.
In addition to cloud and DevOps responsibilities, you will also support internal IT operations, ensuring that employees have secure, reliable access to the tools and systems needed for daily work.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & DevOps

Own Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to automate, version, and scale environments.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both backend (.NET) and frontend (React/Next.js), including Docker builds, testing, and safe release strategies.
Manage container-based workloads, ensuring reliability, scalability, and zero-downtime deployments.
Set up and operate observability: monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance metrics.
Manage data services (SQL, NoSQL, time-series) — provisioning, scaling, security, and backups.
Implement strong security practices: identity & access (Entra ID), Key Vault, network security, and secure deployment pipelines.
Support performance and integration testing across backend and frontend services.
Enable frontend deployments (static or SSR), including CDN usage, caching, SSL/TLS, and real-time features.
Document infrastructure, share best practices, and contribute to a strong DevOps/DevSecOps culture.
Internal IT & Corporate Systems
Manage Microsoft 365 / Office 365 environment: security policies, user accounts, licenses, groups, and roles.
Handle user access and permission management across internal systems, cloud platforms, and SaaS tools.
Enforce security policies for internal IT: MFA, conditional access, device security policies.
Provide technical support for: access issues, tooling setup, VPN, certificates, etc.
Act as a point of contact between engineering, security, and business for IT-related topics.
Skills and Qualifications
Academic degree in systems science, computer science, or similar.
10+ years in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure roles in mission-critical environments.
Deep hands-on experience with Azure services (compute, containers, serverless, messaging, networking, identity, storage).
Strong experience with IaC (Terraform, ARM).
Solid background in Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS or equivalent).
Proven experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
